War is no more
Peace has come to mankind.
Peace; no envy
All on Earth have plenty.
Over clean;
Destruction of defence
To sickness.
World at peace;
Destruction of defence
To violence.
Seeds of dissent are sown,
Spring of Death’s domain,
Relapse into barbarism, they recall their hate,
Seeds of Apocalypse, in blood they germinate.
Anger rapidly spreads!
Cursed call to arms,
Violent virus vehemently vindicates
Human conditioning; for war we salivate!
Death on the streets,
Pervades every home
Total warfare
Man woman and child.
All consumed by rage
Earth is wreathed in flame
Total war on every front
Any weapon they can find.
Hundreds remain
Drawn to one point
Screams of the dying
This is the end!
Torrents of blood
Drenching the Earth
Moment of horror
As the mist clears.
What senselessness is this? An ill thing done.
Peace be upon us, for no more strife can we afford.
We’ll mourn for those we’ve lost, rebuild what was broken!
Who stands with us?
No.
Don’t you see that you are my enemy?
Murderers and traitors
With no trust, nor honour.
No, I’ll leave you
Safe in my own solitude.
I want to be
Left alone.
Don’t follow me!
I want no part of this folly!
Nothing will change human nature!
Holocausts with no end,
Lest we forget what we have done!
Not the first time, nor the last,
On such a scale, all are guilty.
What manner of Phoenix
Must arise from blood-soaked ashes?

Keep your promised land
Foundations built on sorrow
Just keep your guilt; just keep your chains,
Peace based on lies, just leave me be.
Lupine hearts in clad in wool garb
Bleats of peace hide snarls of anger
Summer coats and a full stomach -
Pretensions of docile minds.
Winter will come!
Desperation, starvation and aggression
Wolves delve further from their home
Deep into the woods, seek their meals
Brings them closer to my nest.
As I flee in terror from these baying hounds
They offer violent protestations of peace
A peace kept through force is no peace at all
Yet they cannot achieve greater understanding
For my isolation, for my chosen path
No part of this folly, why can’t they just leave me?
Though I’m one step away from their preaching jaws
I can’t run forever, I can’t run forever.
Cornered, no place to flee to
The wolves draw close
Sprout wings of fire
Dust off the ash.
I’m through with running
Hate fueled by fear
My persecution
Ends with their deaths.
Sink talons through flesh
Feathers turn red
Ripe for the slaughter
Wolves become sheep.
Wake from my nightmare
Corpse lies unmoving
Sweat soaks my brow
Blood pours from his.
Sanguine and guilty
My purpose is clear;
Bring the fight to them
Before their winter comes.

Why resist the grave?
You were torn screaming from the womb
As the infant spawn
Did not want to be even born
Now the time has come
To return to your lifelessness
No worse than your birth
You are dragged screaming to the earth.
I find it impossible to love a species that
Fails to learn from the lessons of history
Doomed to repeat
Endlessly wallowing in their obnoxiousness
Praising stupidity, punishing those of us
Who dare question.
We exist on the whim of a murderer’s heart
It is wisdom to kill them before they can turn on you
Trusting no-one
With an axe in my fist and a scream in my throat
I descend on the weaklings who let down their guard
Their fault they died!
The more I kill
The more they fight
For survival
They hunt me down
I’m forced to kill
In self defence
Thus I seek out
Pre-emptive revenge.
Burn their homes with flaming brand
Smoke them out, no ground to run to
Spread my wings, flames lick their flesh
And I taste the stench of roasting
Those who live cry out in pain
Blinded by hatred they race towards me
Calmly I swing back my axe
And set to work. Extermination!
So many run,
They die like cattle
Though they try, none get away
With blood in my eyes, so few fight bravely!
KISS MY AXE!
Become the fourth horseman, become the Apocalypse, resplendent in blood and ashes,
For I am the Firebird born of the arrogance and self destruction of mankind.
Final few remaining
Pockets of resistance
Should I spare their lives?
Should I grant them mercy?
I can’t let them live
Sired and raised by a
Corrupt generation
Potential for evil
When they come of age
They’ll be seeking vengeance
They’ll soon grow
And so they must die.
No more screams or cries
Silence of man’s demise
Final dawn, sunrise
For only my eyes.

I'm the last man in existence
I'm the rider of the world's end
I'm the Phoenix soaked in bloodshed
I'm the saviour; no resistance
The machine has stopped, Earth abides
I am lord of world in winter
Human threat to mother nature
My dominion over mankind
Better worlds for all without them
Yet I live on in solitude
Scarlet plague of paranoia
I have no mouth and I must scream
Their bodies lie like scattered leaves. Tranquil now, freed from their chains of life. Their lives had purpose since I will remember their faces.
I will remember their pain.
I want no part of this folly
Nothing can change human nature
Holocaust hath no end but this
Lest I forget what I have done
What have I done?
From ashes I rise
Bloodsoaked wings of fire
Burning all those around me
Curse of the Phoenix
Doomed to repeat the cycle
One final time
The last one to burn
Is me
With no-one left here living, who will comfort me?
With no-one left here living, who will care for me?
With no-one left here living, who will see me through?
With no-one left here living, who will remember me?
This bloodied Phoenix of Revelation
With no-one to share this world of perfect isolation
I'll die alone, leaving no progeny
The human race ends with me
Death has been at my side
Companion through the dark
The Reaper's love motherly numbs my pain, gently soothes
All return to her womb
All are loved equally
None are spared
Strong and weak taste the milk of the grave
Death is the pinnacle
Of human existence
Perfection, released from ugliness of the soul
I hear her voice in my head
Tempting and terrible
I yearn to be freed from this prison
Of flesh and bone
Six feet of the abyss
Promise of torment's end
For just a tender kiss
From a sharp witted friend
Brush my skin, cold caress of steel
Penetrate
Gasping pure sensation
Little death and a little more
Gushing forth ruby seed of life
My pain is pleasure
Blood turns to ash
Despair carves fissures
Into my flesh
What Hell awaits me?
Justly deserved
Terror it grips me
As I depart the Earth.
